WRITING ORGANIZATIONS IN ORANGE COUNTY

* Orange County Chapter of Romance Writers of America (OCC/RWA)

WHEN: Meets every second Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.(Doors open at 9 a.m. for a casual Ask-an-Author roundtable conversation)
WHERE: Brea Civic and Cultural Center, 695 E. Madison Way, Brea
COST: $10 for non-members at the door (cash or check only)

WHEN: Monthly meetings. Weekend varies so check the website. Meetings begin at 2 p.m.

COST: Dues are $25 per year to the Orange County group, and $40 per year for the national group). One-time visitor may be free if you'd like to preview the meetings.

* Greater Los Angeles Writers Society (GLAWS)

WHEN: Monthly special speaker events. Usually 2:30 p.m. on the third Saturday o fthe month.
WHERE: Palms-Rancho Park Library, 2920 Overland Ave., L.A. COST: First meeting is free. Membership to group is $55 ($45 annual dues + $10 application fee). All meetings are then free to members.
